Training efficacy for first responders is vital to the success of emergency medical technicians, law enforcement, and firefighters to ensure public safety. ASA-VR reimagines training through the use of Virtual Reality (VR) and haptics gloves technologies. With assistance from subject matter experts in the field, virtual scenarios are designed to develop key skills in preparations for highly critical emergencies — on-site level 1-2 health triage, vision impairment tactics in fire related environments, and officer safety and use of force situations. In EMS scenarios, the haptic glove enforces correct procedures in timely manner for capturing a person’s vitals. For obstructed vision in fire scenarios, gloves are used to sense walls and dangerous zones, while assisting finding safe pathways to areas where people are located and determine exit routes. During confrontational environments with armed perpetrators, ASA-VR tech provides instance touch signal communication and instructions from commanding officers. Through simulated virtual practices, ASA-VR’s platform helps contribute to the development of muscle memory for quick and proper vital actions
