Given the ubiquity of social media platforms, it’s common for people to look to others to discover new options, get insight, or validate decisions. This socialization of choices galvanizes shared perspectives and values, ultimately forming tribes. NARS is luxury line of cosmetics founded on the belief that beauty lies in expressing one’s true character, not on genetic gifts. To promote, connect, and unify people who live the NARS philosophy, a site for the NARS “Citizens” offers to give voice to the community while empowering each citizen to share, discover, and garner confidence to express their true selves. Using social-gaming strategies, a special launch competition invites friends to team-up and express their beauty skills. Winners are voted by the community, with a grand prize trip to NY’s Fashion Week to meet Françios Nars and assist NARS artists.
