GAP has always been a reliable place to get the basics: t-shirts, khakis, pullovers, etc. Shops like H&M, Forever 21, and Zara, as well as niche designer jean brands, have begun to drastically erode their market share. To recapture the women’s segment while promoting their emphasis on pants (vs. just jeans) and drive traffic to their retail stores, GAP hopes to empower women by making it stylish to wear pants while at work or play. The GoGettter mobile app gives the confident woman a tool to find a look, locate an after-work scene where they can flaunt it, and flirt their ways into people’s heart in GAP style.
